Goals
SSS will provide services to increase the persistence, academic achievement and graduation rates of financially challenged, first-generation and disabled students as follows:
Assist participants in acquiring the necessary skills, knowledge, and attributes to complete a post-secondary education;
Maximize opportunities for financial assistance by improving the financial and economic literacy of participants; and
Identify graduate and professional opportunities.
Objectives
The Student Support Services program at NCCU will strive to meet the following grant objectives:
Serve 140 participants each year,
Confirm 77% of all participants served will persist from one academic year to the beginning of the next academic year or will have earned a bachelorās degree,
Ensure 75% of all enrolled participants served by SSS will meet the performance level required to stay in good academic standing and
Affirm 45% of new participants served each year will graduate within six years.
