WHO WE ARE
The Student Support Services (SSS) Program is a five-year, $1.1 million federally funded TRiO Program intended to improve the retention and graduation rates of first-generation and income-qualified students and students with disabilities at North Carolina Central University.
Housed within University College in suite 227 of the Alexander-Dunn Building, SSS offers its approximately 140 participants personal and academic support, tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic counseling, developmental programming and financial literacy workshops to overcome barriers to success. Students who meet the criteria will be eligible to apply for an Educational Opportunity Grant to help reduce their dependency on loans.
